Take a kid-friendly tour of The Battery Urban Farm to learn about how we grow produce in the heart of downtown New York City
About this event
Join us for a kid-friendly tour of our urban vegetable farm, led by park staff. RSVP is required for this event. Please note that this tour is intended for children under the age of 13; if you would like to bring older children to the farm, we encourage you to sign up for our Tour of The Battery Urban Farm or Family Farm Volunteer Day events. Also, please dress appropriately for an outdoor tour, and wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty!
We open tickets for tour dates up to 8 weeks in advance, so if you don’t see a day that works for you then please check back at a later date. Tour times may shift throughout the season.
Tours meet at the farm entrance, marked on this map.
Please note that the park has developed new safety guidelines to protect visitors from the spread of COVID-19. By participating in this event, you agree to:
- Wear a mask over your nose and mouth at all times in The Battery.
- Maintain a distance of at least six feet from staff and other park visitors.
- Stay home when feeling sick.
- Contact the park if you develop symptoms of COVID-19 after participating in a program.
Thank you for helping us to keep each other safe. After the tour, we hope you will linger to enjoy the nation’s largest perennial garden open 365 days free to the public. Learn more about The Battery at www.thebattery.org.
The Battery is located at the southern tip of Manhattan. Take the 1 train to South Ferry, the R train to Whitehall Street, or the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green.
