KAHLO in collaboration with Random Farms Kids Theater will be bringing an unprecedented theater camp experience to Pound Ridge!
Two 1-week sessions will be offered and will take place in the KAHLO GARDEN. Each week culminates with a musical revue-themed performance based on Roald Dahl’s WILLY WONKA Kids!
Campers will work each day with a director from Random Farms and then perform in a musical revue, where everyone gets a chance to shine. The “process” – especially teamwork and self-esteem – is stressed as much as the “product” – a performance for family and friends.
The Random Farms Kids’ Theater is a not-for-profit organization that puts young people center stage.
It is dedicated to creating a safe environment where children of all backgrounds are encouraged to discover the joy of theater within themselves — on and off the stage. Through its programs, students develop an appreciation for arts and music, cultivate leadership and life skills, and build self-esteem.
Random Farms further extends this impact beyond its own doors by providing community resources that increase access to the performing arts, and by motivating social change through live theater.
THE SESSIONS: Choose one that fits your schedule.
Session 1: July 12 – 15, with July 16th as the rain date.
Session 2: July 26 – 29, with July 30 as the rain date.
Time: 1pm to 4pm
1 week (4 day) program overview:
– 3 hour rehearsal each day with a director (Friday is the rain date)
– Pricing: $475/child
-Program culminates with each child performing songs and dances based on “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Kids.”
